The Book Explainer Video Starter Kit History of the Hologram Past Events

The Hologram Book

This book was written by Cassie Thornton in 2020. It describes some of the ideas behind the practice. It was written before the protocol we currently use was developed. This is a good thing to read if you are interested in practicing The Hologram or if you are interested in anti-capitalist mutual aid.

The Hologram Explainer Video

In under 4 minutes this video by Jonathan Lee and Cassie Thornton offers a quick description of the politics, theory and the feeling of the Hologram practice. This is a great video to share with people who you would like to invite to participate in The Hologram, which can be strangely difficult to explain.

The Starter Kit for Post-Capitalist Futures

This playful illustrated manual will walk you through some of the basic ideas behind The Hologram, and it describes the protocol we use step by step. This tool can be useful for a Hologram group to keep with them for the early meetings. It comes in many languages! While none of the translations are perfect, we hope these will help support you if you have wiggly knees at the beginning of your Hologram practice. As with all things related to The Hologram, person to person support is helpful, so if you are starting out, please feel free to contact us so someone can be there to answer your questions as you learn the practice.

-If you would like access to the Arab version in process, please email us on coopercooperativespecies@gmail.com.

Story-telling

The Hologram started out as an art project by an individual artist. It has grown into a collectively held project practiced by people around the world. How did that happen? Was it hard? Who was involved? Did anyone cry? Magdalena Jadwiga Härtelova and Cassie Thornton do some storytelling here in a series of short audio recordings.
