On March 1st, we have held an Info session of what is the biggest step towards decentralization we have planned so far – an assembly of all who organize with/in The Hologram and those who bring the protocol to their communities. We call this support and agitation group UGH, the United Groundskeepers of Hologram…
Do you practice The Hologram in your own life? If so, you are invited to devise a way to share The Hologram in your own world, with financial and social support.
We believe that The Hologram is a practice before it is anything else. The more it is shared in different contexts, the more we learn about it. We want more people to feel like it is theirs, so they can share it and help it adapt through use in many different contexts and to serve different needs. We hope this will help The Hologram go far beyond our current reach.
Hologrammers who submit a successful proposal will become a part of UGH, our assembly of organizers that meets every two months to give and get support from others who are also working on holographic projects. These meetings will produce a rotating collective who will do maintenance and care work for each other’s projects, take care of The Hologram’s resources, and also assess proposals for new projects. We see this as a rotating but stable organizational structure for the near future of The Hologram.
If you don’t have a project idea, or are not ready to embark on it yet, you can still become part of UGH as a Supporter. In this, potentially paid, position, you would support projects and take care of our resources together with the current organizers.
